The alarm was too quiet and almost inaudible in a quiet room and only lasted about 8 seconds. Not enough to attract attention even when awake. Warranty does not hear even a low level of background noise. I've had cheaper casios alarms are much, much better. Another annoyance was the lighting of the display, which would not only stay on about 2 seconds, long enough to focus on the figures in the dark.

In short: large clock, but disappointed not to get the basic right to adequate usability. I would have liked to have played with the features (covered extensively in reviews, other), but returned to Amazon because of the above deficiencies.
